Vijayakanth is planning a grand function to launch the audio of his maiden directorial venture 'Virudhagiri'.
"Captain has organised ‘Virudhagiri’ audio release at Chennai Trade Centre in Nandambakkam on November 22. The function will be attended by his fans and party workers besides big guns from Tamil cinema," sources say.
Besides wielding the megaphone, the actor-politician is also playing the lead role in the film. "He has selected Trade Centre as the venue because a large crowd is expected to attend the function," add sources.
Produced by L K Sudeesh on Captain Cine Creations banner, the film's title is inspired by Lord Virudhagireeswarar, whose Temple is located at Virudhachalam, an Assembly constituency represented by Vijayakanth.
