30 killed, 28 hurt as bus overturns, catches fire in Karnataka




At least 30 people, including 10 children, have burned to death after their bus crashed into a police roadblock in southern India, officers said.

Following the collision, the state-owned vehicle came off a bridge and ended up in a ditch.

The diesel tank then exploded and the bus burst into flames.

At least three people survived the smash - but they are in a serious condition.

The accident happened in the dark near the town of Chitradurga in Karnataka state.
